Ananya is a sanskrit word that means unique. Ananya is a non formal school just few kilometers away from the Sarjapur road.
i visited the school on the saturday with the NGO Dream a Dream. this was my first visit to the school and contacts with NGO. though i was familiar with the lots of person in that and the activities carried out by the group. One of my flatmates is a member of the group from long time and he is regular in the events with the group. It was nice meeting so many pepole. i will write about them as i know them more and i hope to do so.

when we reached the school, it was very silent out there. Anyone who is visiting for the first time will never believe that he is in some kind of school. there are huts around and some very small buildings of one or two rooms. there are gardens in which there are some flowers and lots of vegetables are grown. the lady incharge of there informs us that lot of childern have either gone to their parents on weekend or to the hockey coaching. they will be back anytime. till that time she called some childern to show us around the campus.
we were divided into the groups and a children was leading that group explaining the campus. they explained the different classroom and the new computer and science lab ge tting ready. the excitement was really visible on the faces. the hockey kids are back,they are coming from PILLAI BALLAL HOCKEY ACADMEY. this group is formed by famous indian goalkeeper Ashish Ballal and Dhanaraj pillai. they comes down here for giving the instruction to the kids. lat er in a day we were told that these kids are luckier thwn some of the other rich kids. how true!!!
