City to halt...

After a long holidays and weekend, the IT capital of the India was coming to it own for what it is so famous, but suddenly came to halt due to a bandh. The Bandh was called by the Kannada organizations in the protest against the centre for showing the step motherly behaviour towards the state over the border dispute with his neighboring state. the Bandh was supported by the rulling government party.
i was hearing this for the first time and was amazed that ruling partie is supporting the bandh. I was of the view that they have to take action against these things but they are supporting it. If you think that centre is not being neutral then you should have a talk to them instead you are stopping your own pepole from making progress. For pepole like us who have to take food out, but there was nothing open and it was a day of problem. the people had no source of entertainment as cable operator were only showing the kannada channels in the support of the cause. it was succeesful but i was left with a question that how does it affect the centre or other state involved in this. the problem and the lost incurred in the bandh was totally of the state and the peoples of the state. i wish the oraganizers of this bandh can analyze this. The newspapers reported the next day as complete and the day when the Bangalore city was back to the 70's when there was no pollution, traffic and the crowd. was that the purpose of the bandh? to give the city a break then they have certainly succeded. if the purpose was other than that then i fear that has been not met.
I have heard of the border dispute between the countries, but this time the fight is between the states of the country. INDO-SINO or INDO-PAK border issues willbe easier to solve then solving this issues, because both are your own and somebody in the end will be disappointed from the result. The issue could have been solved decades ago if the parties and the centre would have shown the resolve to solve the problem and this issue would not have become so big. There is so much talk of the Mahajan comitee report, but why do we take so much of time to implement the recommendation of such commitee. if these recommendations are not supposed to be implemnted then why do we constitute the commitee. There is trouble over the finding of commitee and then we constitute another commitee to find the validatity of the first commitee. this way the time keeps ticking away and the issue remains alive. The issue which could have been solved and not resulted in such a big problem and cause of hatered between the fellow countrymen if the action would have been taken at the appropiate time.

2nd october: A holiday

From the start of the last week people are thinking about the day 2nd October. No wait not because it’s a birthday of our Father of nation but it’s a Monday and this means that extended weekend.

We have found a nice way of remembering BAPU. Every major city in this country has a street named after him and we can find him on the currency notes. But do we think about why he got there while walking on those streets or using these currencies. They have become meaningless as you don’t give the due importance to the things that are always visible to us.

The streets are deserted and I can hardly see any activities going on.I wonder that what our BAPU would be thinking from the heaven, that his birthday has brought the country to standstill and there is hardly anyone who has devoted this time to study the principle and practice the ideology preached by him. They will be doing all kinds of activities except what Gandhi thought. He used to spun the cotton so that everyone has work and they contribute something to the country in their free time. I am not asking people to do the same and I am not doing it, but there are so many ways we can work for the betterment of the country. He must be thinking that a one day national holiday is causing so much loss to the country in the terms of revenue. I am also one among the others who were looking for a leave and spend the time peacefully and have fun, but I think that this is due to the practice followed from the beginning. From schooldays we get holiday on this day. Isn’t it better to teach this day about the principles of Gandhi this day in the schools?

But our dear politician and the rule makers are busy somewhere in the vande-matram and permitting the government employees in the RSS. Today there will be a queue on the RAJGHAT and all the statues of Gandhi would have been cleaned and decorated and it will be the same time again next year when some one will raise eyes to see the statues. It’s important to do something rather than celebrate the b’day like this. The Gandhigiri is famous again and in news due to the movie LAGE RAHO MUNNABHAI. At least this gave the viewers some ideology of the great Gandhi may be in the humorous way but at least it had the message. So lets learn something on this day rather than celebrating a holiday on this day. i really like the background sound track of the movie..

BANDE MAIN THA DUM.. VANDE MATRAMM..

and how true it is.
